World: More than a third of countries with Humanitarian Response Plans have recorded more COVID-19 cases in 2021 than all of 2020

The increase is likely due to multiple Variants of Concern and the relaxation of, or non-compliance with, public health and safety measures. More than half of HRP countries are no longer in lockdown.
