World: Forced displacement passed 80 million by mid-2020 as COVID-19 tests refugee protection globally

Violence in Syria, DR Congo, Mozambique, Somalia and Yemen drove new displacements in the first half of 2020. Significant new displacement has also been registered across Central Sahel region.
