World: FAO needs $1.5 billion to save lives and livelihoods of up to 50 million people in 2022

By September, 161 million people were experiencing high acute food insecurity, of whom 45 million were facing imminent risk of starvation – a sharp rise compared with 155 million for the whole of 2020.
