Colombia: As Darien crossings hit record, UNHCR urges greater international support

The number of refugees and migrants crossing the Darien jungle – between Colombia and Panama – on foot in 2023 reached 520,000, the highest recorded. So far this year, more than 23,000 have crossed over.
