About Us

Who We Are Tommorow

The Centre for the Defense of Human Rights and Vocational Training for All (CDHRVTA) is a dedicated non-governmental organization committed to the protection and promotion of human rights across Africa. Established with the belief that every individual deserves to live with dignity and access opportunities for self-improvement, CDHRVTA works tirelessly to defend the rights of the underprivileged and equip them with the vocational skills needed to build sustainable livelihoods.

At CDHRVTA, we recognize the complex challenges faced by marginalized communities, from systemic human rights abuses to the lack of economic opportunities. Our organization addresses these issues through a two-pronged approach: defending human rights and providing vocational training. By doing so, we empower individuals to break the cycle of poverty and contribute positively to society.

Mission & Vision

Our Mission

Our mission is to defend human rights across Africa while providing vocational training to the less privileged, enabling them to achieve self-sufficiency and contribute positively to society.

Our Vision

We envision an Africa where every individual enjoys their basic human rights and has the opportunity to thrive through meaningful, skill-based employment.

Our Objectives

At CDHRVTA, our objectives are the driving force behind our work:

  1. Educating Citizens on Their Rights: We aim to raise awareness about self and public rights, empowering citizens to stand up against injustices and advocate for their legal entitlements.

  2. Providing Free Legal Services: We offer free legal assistance to the less privileged, ensuring that those without financial means can still access justice and defend their rights.

  3. Offering Vocational Training: Through comprehensive training programs in carpentry, sewing, welding, hairdressing, computer skills, and more, we equip individuals with the skills needed to secure employment or start their own businesses.

  4. Organizing Seminars and Workshops: We conduct seminars and symposiums to promote a crime-free life and reorient the citizenry towards positive, law-abiding behavior.

  5. Campaigning Against Rape, Violence, and Torture: We lead campaigns to combat rape, organized violence, and torture, and provide support to victims through medical services and legal assistance.

  6. Assisting Victims of Human Rights Abuses: As a collection point for cases of human rights violations, we help victims access the support they need, including legal recourse and emotional care.

  7. Fighting HIV/AIDS and Stigmatization: Our health initiatives focus on the elimination of HIV/AIDS and the stigmatization of those infected. We distribute anti-retroviral drugs in rural areas and educate communities on prevention and care.

  8. Collaborating with Like-Minded Organizations: We work in partnership with other NGOs and associations, both nationally and internationally, to strengthen our impact and achieve shared goals.
